a close up shot of sam.c’s “tunnel effect” – made with ikea’s el cheapo rm15 curtain thingies. we shot lydia’s 2nd set in studio with nothing but a pair of ikea curtains and a red bed spread from my wedding. like a newborn & their 1st time to experience many new things while growing up – its was my 1st taste of using props in my set. we  either buy ‘em off the shelf or improvised on the spot with whatever items we could afford or find to compliment our visuals. why props? i got bored with plain background high key / low key shots and was curious on how far i could push myself with new stuffs in studio. i had nothing to lose if my images were laughed at. however, i was very comfortable in a studio enviroment and was scared shitless of shooting outdoors.

also, it was my 1st time working with a makeup artist to do lydia’s makeup and hairstyling. i see the value and it made a significant difference to my visuals. literally took away the heartaches i had while touching up my images (then again, i had other challenges to worry about during post processing).
